With the Dallas Mavericks out of contention for an NBA Play-In tournament spot, it was only natural for them to give opportunities to various players, including Greek-American guard John Poulakidas.
The 23-year-old Poulakidas is a second-generation Greek-American.
He spent four years at the prestigious Yale University, where in his final season, he averaged 19.4 points with 41% shooting from beyond the arc.
He has appeared in 12 games for the Mavericks, averaging 18.1 minutes, 7.3 points, and 2.3 rebounds, shooting 58% on two-pointers, 38% on three-pointers, and a perfect 100% from the free-throw line.
He is certainly making a notable impact and remains a focal point, much like other Greek players who, under the right circumstances, could don the jersey of the Greek National Team.
