João Palhinha 'Likes' Benfica's Rout Over Casa Pia, Keeping Tabs on Eagles

João Palhinha is currently in negotiations with Benfica, and it appears he's keeping a close eye on the Eagles' recent activities. The 31-year-old Portuguese midfielder 'liked' a social media post from a Benfica fan, which reflected on the 7-0 thrashing Marco Silva's side handed to Casa Pia.

The post, which included a declaration of love for Benfica, featured a photo of Rafa Silva and Pavlidis embracing during the celebration of one of the seven goals. Palhinha's 'like' comes at a time when the Eagles are confident they can finalize his transfer very soon.

As A BOLA reported this morning, Benfica has offered Bayern Munich €15 million, plus an additional €5 million in performance-related add-ons, for the 31-year-old midfielder. The Portuguese international was notably absent from Vincent Kompany's squad for Bayern's pre-season friendly in Heidenheim this afternoon.
