Following Jay Zs two-year deal with Weinstein Company, the rapper has announced a new TV series production.

His third project from the deal, the rapper is  producing a historical docu-series based on Nicholas “The Reaper” Irving, the first African-American special ops sniper in the United States Army.

Based on Irving's memoir "The Reaper: Autobiography of One of the Deadliest Special Ops Snipers,"  the six-hour mini-series will air on NBC, and will star “The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story” actor, Sterling K. Brown.

Other productions in the work with Jay-Z as a producer include a biopic on Richard Pryor and a documentary on the life of Kalief Browder.

The two-year overall deal involves the rapper producing TV and film projects for the studio. The announcement was made on Thursday, September 29, 2016.

Jay-Z who is no stranger to producing was a part of the  2014 “Annie” remake, Chris Rock’s “Top Five” and “The Great Gatsby.”
