Jared Butler's Future with Red Star Remains Undecided for Next Season

In an interview with “SportKlub,” Red Star’s American guard, Jared Butler, discussed the Serbian team’s journey in this year’s EuroLeague and left all possibilities open regarding the next chapter of his career, whether in Europe or the NBA.

Butler has been instrumental for his team, averaging 13.2 points and 3.7 assists. The Belgrade “Red and Whites” currently sit in 7th place in the EuroLeague standings, with one game remaining in the regular season.

Commenting on the team’s performance, Butler remarked: “There were high expectations, but we also had an adjustment period with many new players and injuries. Despite that, we’ve put ourselves in a good position, where we control our own destiny. In a way, we still hold things in our hands for the end of the season.”

Regarding his future with Red Star, he stated: “I don’t know yet. I think there are positive signs; I feel like the people at the club want me here. I felt really good from day one, I was accepted by everyone. I enjoyed every moment, good and bad. It’s all part of the experience.”

Regarding the NBA interest, the American player was succinct: “I don’t know what to say about that. When summer comes, I’ll explore all my options. I’ll see what happens until then and make a decision.”
