Guevara, starting from the middle of the second row, seized the lead before the end of the first lap at the Red Bull Ring. He then set an unmatchable pace, ultimately winning the 23-lap race by a 1.7-second margin over pole-sitter Filip Salac.

Guevara's most perilous moment came at the end of lap 17 when he narrowly avoided a crash in the penultimate corner. The Spaniard skillfully regained control of his bike, navigating through the run-off area before continuing. On the subsequent lap, Guevara slightly eased his pace, and combined with the earlier error, this cost him just over a second of his lead over Salac. However, the Pramac rider quickly recovered his rhythm and rode flawlessly to the finish line.

Second-place finisher Salac spent the first half of the race trailing Ivan Ortolá, having been overtaken by both Ortolá and Guevara at the end of the opening lap. The Czech rider eventually found a way past his rival under braking into turn four on lap 11, but lacked the pace to catch the runaway leader, Guevara.

David Alonso finished third, also managing to pass Ortolá by outmaneuvering him into turn three on lap 15. Two laps later, Ortolá lost another position to championship leader Manuel Gonzalez, who finished fourth, leaving Ortolá in fifth.

Alonso Lopez crossed the finish line in sixth, ahead of Dani Holgado, Barry Baltus, Deniz Öncü, and Luca Lunetta, who completed the top ten. Points from the Austrian Grand Prix in Moto2 were also secured by Dani Muñoz, Jose Antonio Rueda, Aron Canet, Tony Arbolino, and Joe Roberts.

In the overall standings, Gonzalez maintains a comfortable lead with 245.5 points, 35.5 points ahead of today's winner, Guevara. Ortolá rounds out the top three, 77 points adrift, and holds a 13.5-point advantage over Alonso in the battle for third place.

The Moto2 season will continue in two weeks with the Japanese Grand Prix. The weekend in the Land of the Rising Sun will kick off the traditional Asian tour of the FIM Road Racing World Championship, which will also include stops in Indonesia, Australia, Malaysia, and Qatar before the season concludes in Portugal and Valencia.
