Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey confirmed that LeBron James commutes to practice at the team's facility in Camden, New Jersey—by helicopter.

Now LeBron, who signed a two-year veteran minimum deal with the Sixers, explained that he sees nothing strange about flying in by helicopter from New York, where he resides, for practices and games.

A helicopter flight from New York to Philadelphia typically takes between 30 and 45 minutes, whereas driving can take considerably longer due to heavy traffic.

"The deal we signed with Fanatics nearly three years ago includes access to their corporate aviation services," a representative for James told FOS. "It's a perk that is part of many of their contracts with elite athletes, and we appreciate their partnership as LeBron splits his time between New York and Philadelphia."

Philadelphia opens its season on Tuesday in New York, where James and his teammates will face the defending NBA champions, the New York Knicks, at Madison Square Garden.

The Knicks will raise their championship banner to the rafters of the iconic arena during the opener.
