"I planned to go to Italy, but now I don't like Italy. One day I'll tell you how I got ripped off here. I was left with my wallet and passport. The passport was returned by some good thieves. The most valuable thing in my suitcase was my football boots. Thieves, if football isn't your thing, I'll take them back. Don't worry, everything is fine, don't panic. I still have my prayer mat, I don't need anything else," the Dagestani fighter wrote on Instagram.

Currently, the 34-year-old athlete does not have a fight scheduled. In his last octagon appearance, he defeated Jack Della Maddalena to claim the welterweight championship belt. Prior to that bout, Makhachev dominated the lightweight division, where he also held the title.
