Center Isaiah Hartenstein will continue his career with the Oklahoma City Thunder after agreeing to a new three-year, $75 million contract.
According to Shams Charania, the 28-year-old basketball player and the Thunder have reached an agreement on a contract that will keep him with the team until the end of the 2028-29 season.
The agreement includes a maximum 15 percent trade kicker bonus, as well as a unique mutual option. This allows both parties to renegotiate the contract terms in 2028, before the start of its final season.
With this new deal, the total guaranteed amount the Thunder will pay Hartenstein reaches $134 million over a five-year period.
The center joined Oklahoma City as a free agent in the summer of 2024 and quickly became a key component of the championship-contending roster, addressing the team's need for a physically strong player in the paint.
Over the past two years, Hartenstein has participated in all 38 of the Thunder's playoff games. He started in 35 of them, averaging 9.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.6 assists.
