Inter Milan has announced the signing of Djed Spence from Tottenham Hotspur for a reported fee of £30 million. The defender has penned a contract with the Nerazzurri until June 2031, becoming the second English international to join the club this summer, following John Stones' arrival on a free transfer.

Spence arrived in Milan on Thursday evening and successfully completed his medical examination yesterday before officially signing with Inter. Italian media reports indicate that the defender will earn €2.5 million per season, plus performance-related bonuses. Tottenham will receive an initial €31.5 million, with an additional €3.5 million in potential add-ons. The deal also includes a clause entitling Spurs to 10% of any future sale of the player.

Djed Spence is no stranger to Serie A, having spent six months on loan at Genoa in 2024 from the London club. He celebrated his 26th birthday last week. The Nerazzurri hierarchy views him as the ideal replacement for Denzel Dumfries, who recently completed a move to Real Madrid.
