Unknown attackers kill 6 in Plateau, 5 in Benue

Unknown gunmen have killed six people in the Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The attack was reportedly in revenge for an earlier assault on some Fulanis in the area.

Also, another set of gunmen killed five people in Benue State on Tuesday, May 19, Punch reports.

The victims were attacked while relaxing at a beer parlour at Jooter in the Ukum Local Government Area of the state.

The gunmen were said to have opened fire on the patrons and also left 4 people injured in the attack.

The Benue attack was reportedly targeted at one person who is said to be among the survivors.

The incidents have been confirmed by Plateau Police Public Relations Officer Emmanuel Abu and his Benue counterpart, Austin Ezeani.
