Inkblot Productions set to release new film starring Afolayan, Montana, Suleiman

The Betrayed will start cinemas nationwide on August 2. Shot in Lagos, the plot details elements of Love, lust and loyalty, and doing whatever it takes to save a loved one. The Betrayed introduces a cast whose authenticity makes them feel like genuine individuals, each wrestling with their fears and undisclosed truths.

The Betrayed is the directorial debut of Inkblot co-founder Zulumoke Oyibo. The film, written by Chinaza Onuzo and Tosan Ayanfulu, boasts an ensemble cast including Uche Montana, Gabriel Afolayan, Adunni Ade, Ibrahim Suleiman, Jemima Osunde, Vine Olugu, and Stephanie Zibili.

As Inkblot’s fans have come to expect over the years, the trailer shows off plenty of exciting action, stunning scenes and a few teases of heavy emotional moments. Filming of the suspense-packed movie began in February 2024 around critical locations in Lagos.

Consistently at the forefront of African cinema, Inkblot Productions and its three co-founders were recently named in the inaugural The Nollywood 100 list created by YNaija and EbonyLife Films to celebrate the 100 most influential names in the Nollywood industry.

Amarachi's (Uche Montana) life was a picture-perfect fairytale. Until her husband (Gabriel Afolayan) was arrested for the murder of his girlfriend. With a web of secrets tangled around him, Amarachi is thrown into a world of doubt. Will she uncover the truth, or is her dream life a shattered illusion?
