A woman on Chapin Beach, Massachusetts, captured some beautiful photos of a couple who were apparently in the middle of an engagement recently.

Speaking to Boston media outfit, CBS, the photographer, Mrs Benson said she didn't approach the couple so as not to interrupt their moment, but she hoped to find them to deliver them the photos.

Though it appears she has not succeeded in her quest to hand them the photos; she, however, had a massive success when she took magnificent shots of the silhouetted man on bent knee as he proposed just as the sun was setting in the horizon.

Information about the pictures got on social media when the photographer’s daughter, Melissa Benson, shared them on Facebook, with a view to knowing who the couple is.

"Anyone know a couple that got engaged on Chapin Beach yesterday at sunset? My mom took these photos of the proposal," she wrote in the post.

It remains unknown if the couple has now been identified or not.
