Police arrest 43-yr-old man for impersonation

The suspects were arrested by the police officers attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the state.

The Delta State Police Command have arrested a 43-year-old man, Chiemeka Telvin, for impersonating as a member of the force.

He was arrested alongside a Mercedes Benz driver identified as Erirhe Ambrose around Abraka/Ubiaruku in Ethiope East Local Government Area of the state.

Telvin was nabbed by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), while escorting the driver of the vehicle.

According  to reports, the chief suspect was wearing a police uniform with Force Number, 429000, which bore the rank of a sergeant.

The state police commissioner, Zanna Mohammed Ibrahim confirmed that Telvin and his accomplice were arrested following an on-the-spot inquiry conducted by the police.

Investigation is still ongoing in a bid to gather more information.
