'Construct speed breakers on Ilo-Awela road' FRSC Unit Commander says

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Unit Commander of Ogun state is pleading for the construction of speed breakers on Ilo-Awela road.

According to Mr Leye Adegboyega, this is necessary in order to reduce the number of lives lost on that road.

"We cannot continue to lose lives and property to accidents that can be prevented from happening. The Chinese company, however, told us that construction of speed breakers was not part of its agreement. We are, therefore, appealing to the Ogun State Government to direct the contractor to construct speed breakers on the road urgently.’’

So far, two lives have been lost in an accident on Jan. 5, another life was lost while two people were seriously injured in a different accident on on Jan. 16.
