Punch metro reports that the two suspects, Ibukun Samuel, 42, and 47-year-old Olukayode Adebayo, were arrested for refusing to hand over the relevant documents to a building, after Obonifua had paid.

They were arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ogba, where a police prosecutor, Inspector Clifford Ogu, read out their three charges.

“That you, 42; and , 47, and others at large, sometime in January and April 2015, at Ogba, Lagos, in the did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit: stealing.

That you, and others at large, at the above mentioned period and place in the aforementioned magisterial district, with intent to defraud one by falsely obtaining the sum of N6m under false pretences to sell a building property located at Ogba.”

According to Ogu, the prosecutor, their offences went against sections 285, 312, and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State Nigeria, 2011.

However, the real estate agents pleaded not guilty.

The case was adjourned till February 3, 2016, after the presiding magistrate, Mrs. T. Akanni, granted them a bail of N1m each.
