8 men gang-rape 72-yr-old nun

Eight gunmen who attempted to rob a school in India but were stopped by a 72-year-old nun, turned their anger on her by taking turns to rape her, the police in the West Bengal State reports.

The nun who is the head of the Convent of Jesus and Mary School, was hospitalized after the sordid incident.

The police say they have declared a manhunt for the men who perpetrated the act in a country where rape has been taken to another level.

The police say that the robbers tied up the guards of the school with ropes and entered the room of the nuns, where women were sleeping.

But the unnamed nun tried to block their way into the hostels and this got them angry and they took her to another room and took turns raping her, before escaping with some cash, a mobile phone, a laptop computer and a camera, all belonging to the school. They also destroyed sacred items.
