23 years old mother raped in hospital

A 23 years old woman who just gave birth through a C-Section has been reportedly raped on her bed at Brahm Shakti Sanjivani Hospital, located in Bahadurgah, India.

She mentioned that it took her a long time to realise that she was being violated.

Narrating her account of the incident, she said, “He put his hand on my mouth to muzzle me, then touched me inappropriately and sexually assaulted me,”

“He also checked my medical files, and drew the curtains closed. He assaulted me again. Then he walked out.”

India is now world renowned as a country with a very high rate of rapes on a yearly basis.

A spokesman for the hospital commented that investigations have commenced into the matter, stating that the lapse of security in the Intensive Care Unit where the woman was would be properly checked.

He also said no one was able to get an alert of the incident as there were no noise.

“There are eight beds. Beds on either side of the alleged victim are occupied, but no one heard any noise,”

An Indian court sentenced three men to the death penalty for raping and killing a 20-year-old woman in a case that sparked massive protests against the state government of West Bengal and led to calls for greater safety for women.
