The pronouncement led to the ongoing clash between security forces and protesters in Libreville, Gabon’s capital.

Report said the demonstrators are shouting “Ali must go!” as security forces use tear gas and stun grenades to stop them from reaching the headquarters of the election commission.

Bongo won the second term in office by 49.80 of the vote against 48.23 percent for his rival Jean Ping, the Interior Minister Pacome Moubelet-Boubeya said.
