Lawmakers serve impeachment notice on Governor

The Ebonyi State House of Assembly has reportedly served an impeachment notice on Governor Martin Elechi.

The impeachment notice was served on Elechi today, February 26 during the plenary session of the House.

The House served the notice on the governor after accusing him of gross misconduct.

The acting leader of the House, Francis Nwifruru, who read the notice, also accused Elechi Governor of huge financial misappropriation, undermining of the integrity of the House, among other offences.
