The Commissioner for Education,  Markson Fefegha revealed that the state government has put plans in place to set up a Payroll Fraud Tribunal to try erring workers.

Punch also reports that Fefegha also warned workers to stop the criminal act, adding that anyone caught will be prosecuted in line with the state criminal act.

The Bayelsa state chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has threatened to resume the strike action, which it suspended May 23, 2016.

This is following the government’s alleged inability to meet the demands of workers regarding their salaries.
