For most schoolchildren, spelling mistakes is normal because when you're encountering new words every day, errors are only natural.

Not in the case a 10-year old Muslim school boy and his family who recently felt the full wrath of the law after his teacher reported a spelling error he made.

Subsequently this error found him and his family probed by the police.

While the school have not yet issued a comment on the matter, twitter have rallied round to support the boy with satire.

Mirror UK reported that legislation has been in place since July obligating teachers to report any suspected extremist behaviour to the authorities, and the boy's innocent mistake comes at a time when the government's anti-extremist measures have been gathering traction.
