This painting of defeated presidential candidate is so inspiring
Since Donald Trump surprisingly grabbed the whole world by the pu**y, winning the U.S presidential election, Hillary Clinton fans have been in low spirits.
A lot of young women who were inspired by Hillary Clinton and who had hoped to see her become president have been sent a powerful message by this artist.
While it is difficult to process that a candidate who often dismissed, degraded and insulted women, even bragging about grabbing their genitals, won the election, this artist is conveying a strong message of hope.
Leah Goren, an artist has drawn a piece which shows a back view of Hillary getting some paperwork done at an office desk on the top half.
On the lower half is the mirror image of a woman who is an artist at work, surrounded by paintbrushes, paper, paint and scissors.
At the bottom of the painting are the words: “Inspired to be a woman at work today.”
This painting was supposed to celebrate the historic win of Hillary and it had been commissioned for A Cup of Jo.
Even though Clinton did not win the election, the painting is still powerful and relevant as it has taken on another meaning.
Goren says: “I drew this piece days before when I was so hopeful, thinking I would wake up today inspired to get to work under the leadership of a woman I so admire. Instead I’m inspired today for different reasons ― we will continue to come together as women, work even harder, and lift each other up.”
The photo is a reminder to women that they can do anything they set their minds to, and that their voices matter, regardless of the results of the election.
It is a reminder to keep working hard and never back down.
