Dog saves blind owner from moving bus

A golden retriever service dog called Figo has saved the life when of his blind owner when he leaped in front of a school bus.

His owner Audrey Stone was walking through an intersection on Monday when a bus hit her and the dog. "Right before it happened the dog did something really heroic," Del Gardo said. "He sort of lunged at the bus. It injured his leg and paw, and the woman received multiple injuries. When EMS came, he [Figo] didn’t want to leave her side" said Brewster Village's chief of police.

The driver, has been  issued a summons for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
