Here's What You Need to Know About the Upcoming Beverly Hills, 90210 Reunion Show
But if you've missed seeing original Beverly Hills, 90210 cast members like Tori Spelling and Brian Austin Green on your screen, you're in luck - Fox just announced that a new Beverly Hills, 90210 reunion show is set to premiere in the summertime.
Titled 90210, the show will be a six-part series, and it will feature Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling, Gabrielle Carteris and Ian Ziering. However, instead of being a straight reboot, the new series will break the fourth wall by having the actors play heightened versions of themselves.
The official series description reads, "Having gone their separate ways since the original series ended 19 years ago, Jason, Jennie, Ian, Gabrielle, Brian and Tori reunite when one of them suggests its time to get a Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot up and running. But getting it going may make for an even more delicious soap than the reboot itself. What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast whom the whole world watched grow up together attempts to continue from where they left off?"
According to Spelling, Luke Perry , who passed away from a massive stroke last month, would have been a part of the show, and the cast will probably pay tribute to him during the reunion show. Shannon Doherty, who fell out with many of her co-stars, has not yet commented on whether or not she'll appear in the new show, but Spelling confirmed to Access Live that she was not currently involved in the series.
