Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott is reportedly on the verge of a move to Valencia. According to Mateo Moreto, the English international has already reached an agreement with "Los Che" and has spoken with manager Andoni Iraola, expressing his desire for the transfer to proceed. The two clubs are still negotiating the terms, but an agreement is expected. The deal is understood to be a loan without an option to buy.
Fabrizio Romano adds that Elliott had three offers, but Valencia is set to win the race for the midfielder. Last season, Elliott was on loan at Aston Villa, a deal that included a purchase option which the Birmingham club ultimately did not exercise. He made just nine appearances across all competitions for the "Villans" and largely failed to win over Unai Emery.
The 23-year-old Englishman joined Liverpool from Fulham in 2019. To date, he has made 149 appearances and scored 15 goals for the Merseyside club's first team.
