For many who were beginning to thought Harry Kane was a one-season wonder, the striker made a case for himself with a hat-trick against Bournemouth in an English Premier League clash.

The Tottenham striker scored three as Spurs thrash Bournemouth 5-1 with the other goals coming from Mousa Dembele and Erik Lamela.

It was the host Bournemouth who started the brighter side and were ahead just 49 seconds into the game.

Tottenham defense was in mess leading to the goal.

Charlie Daniels cross from the left was misread by Jan Vertonghen allowing Bournemouth’s Matt Ritchie to close in on goal to beat Hugo Lloris to put the host in the lead.

Kane’s equalised via a penalty after he was tripped in the box by Artur Boruc.

In the 17th minute, Dembele got Tottenham ‘s second, pouncing on a square pass from Danny Rose after the Bournemouth defense failed to clear an Christian Eriksen’s free-kick.

12 minutes later Kane outmuscled Francis and Steve Cook before stabbing a shot straight at Boruc who spilled the ball to the chest of Lamela before the Argentine scored Spurs’ third.

Kane scored his second in the 56th minute to make it 4-1 all thanks to good works by Eriksen.

A fantastic chip from the Dane, put Kane in a perfect position to finish.

His hat-trick came in the 63rd minute after nudging in a rebound from a Boruc's weak save of Toby Alderweireld’s header.
