With his goal against Sunderland today, Erling Haaland can now boast that he has scored against all 25 teams he has faced in the Premier League. The Norwegian's 81st-minute strike against the Black Cats at the Etihad Stadium was the final missing piece in the puzzle of opponents he has encountered in just over four years in England.

West Ham has been his most fruitful opponent, against whom he has netted 11 goals in just eight top-flight matches. He has scored 10 goals each against Crystal Palace and Wolves, and with his nine goals, he is now the leading scorer in Manchester derbies within the Premier League.

Fulham, Everton, and Brighton have also felt the force of Haaland's unstoppable goal-scoring hunger. He has also distinguished himself in numerous big matches against perennial title rivals Arsenal, scoring six goals against them.

The striker even managed to find the net against three teams – Sheffield United, Luton Town, and Coventry – despite playing against them only once in the competition.

However, it took him three encounters with Sunderland before he managed to score against them.

His latest goal is his fifth in the Premier League this season, placing him at the forefront of the early Golden Boot race this year. He has already won this award in three of his first four campaigns with City, including a record-breaking 36 goals in the 2022/23 season.

In total, the Norwegian has 117 goals in 137 Premier League matches. Only 22 players have scored more goals in the competition since its rebranding in 1992.

Currently, Haaland has seven goals in seven matches across all competitions since the start of the 2026/27 season.

Just a week ago, he became the third-highest goalscorer in the club's 132-year history, surpassing Tommy Johnson (166 goals). With his 169 goals in 205 matches, he is now chasing Eric Brook, who is second on the all-time list.

Brook scored 177 times between 1928 and 1939, but is still far behind Sergio Agüero's record of 260 goals.
