Guenther Steiner: Verstappen to McLaren is "Nonsense"

"That's nonsense," the Italian asserted. "Zak Brown always backs his drivers and states that the team doesn't need a change in that regard. But if he were to replace one of his drivers, it would erode trust in him."

"It's clear that Max is looking for a better team; it's normal, anyone would. But Max would have to go to Mercedes or Ferrari. However, there isn't a free seat for him there, unless the FIA or FOM mandate teams to run three cars. Both teams have strong, good drivers whom they want to retain. So, it would be very difficult."

"Max wants a different car, but right now, he won't find anything better than what he has. He needs to ensure Red Bull stops losing personnel and starts hiring better staff; the team has the infrastructure to be at the top again."
