Green Peace Nigeria; an initiative borne to promote peaceful coexistence and environmental preservation held a peace walk in Ikeja on October 1st in support of the world peace day and the International day of non violence.
This walk is very timely as it also lends it's voice to the recent world attention on environmental preservation and climate change which was emphasised by different world leaders at the recently concluded United Nations Summit. The United Nations also attention on environmentalpreservation as it has twice awarded veteran Hollywood superstar actor Leonardo Di Caprio with the prestigious United Nations Ambassador for Peace for his passionate campaign for the use of alternative energy to help check climate change, which he also exemplifies by using only alternative energy like driving only bio fuel powered cars with zero emission.
