Gov Soludo makes 3 top appointments, hours after he was sworn in

Just hours after he was sworn in as the sixth Governor of Anambra state, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has announced three key appointments into his administration.

This was revealed in a statement released to newsmen by Soludo's aide on media, Mr Joe Anatune.

According to the statement, Soludo has appointed Prof. Osita Chukwulobelu as Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Dr Chukwudi Okoli as the Accountant General.

It also added that Mr Chinedu Nwoye was appointed as Deputy Chief Of Staff/State Chief of Protocol as the governor began his tenure, NAN reported.

The governor took oath of office on Thursday, March, 17, 2022, at an inauguration ceremony held at the Government House, Agu-Awka.

The low-key event was attended by political dignitaries including the former governor of the state, Willie Obiano, his wife, Ebelechukwu Obiano, and Bianca Ojukwu.

During his speech after he was sworn in, Soludo announced a raft of policy changes including suspension of tax collections by agents in the state.

He also promised that his government would promote the local industry and patronise local businesses to engender the economic growth of the state.
