We Conquered Ebola, We’ll Crush Boko Haram, President says

President Goodluck Jonathan has declared that his administration will crush Boko Haram just like it conquered the Ebola outbreak.

The president reportedly stated this during a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rally in Benin City, Edo state on September 27, 2014.

He said:

“Recently, we were recognized for fighting Ebola disease. So I promise you that there must be food security and anybody who says that we should not talk about food security is not ready to lead the people.”

“You are all aware that we have conquered Ebola and we will surely crush Boko Haram. And if you look at what is happening, a lot of things are changing. Everything is turning around”.

The president also said that the PDP would recover control of all the states it had lost in the last elections while welcoming former All Progressives Congress member, Chief Tom Ikimi into the ruling party.
