'Antenna' Singer Turns Down Offer To Do Ebola Charity Song

Ghanaian pop act Fuse ODG has turned Sir Bob Geldof's request for him to feature on a charity song called 'Do They Know It's Christmas', dedicated to Ebola victims in Africa.

Fuse ODG had earlier accepted Sir Bob Geldof's request for him to be on the song, but after further consideration and he declined to be on the song.

In a series of tweets, he explained why he no longer wanted to be a part of the song. "Big up Sir Bob Geldof & his heart, He approached me about being on the Band Aid song, however upon receiving the proposed lyrics. I felt the message of the Band Aid 30 song was not in line with the message of The New Africa movement (TINA)" he tweeted.

"After some consideration, I spoke with Geldof and informed him I would be unable to attend the studio session. Sir Bob Geldof respectfully acknowledged my decision" he further tweeted.

Sir Bob Geldof is an Irish singer and political activist who founded the charity group Band Aid.

English singer Adele also turned his request to be a part of the song.
