Hansi Flick's Barcelona squad has set a new historical record. The German tactician has achieved the best start to a season ever, securing seven consecutive victories – six in La Liga and one in the Champions League.

Previously, the club's best start was six consecutive wins, a feat accomplished three times in history: in the 1929/30 season under James Bellamy, in 1960/61 with Ljubiša Broćić at the helm, and most recently in 2018/19 with Ernesto Valverde as coach.

However, as of this Wednesday, Hansi Flick holds the record for the strongest start in history with seven straight wins. These successes have propelled Barcelona to the top of La Liga, three points clear of second-placed Real Madrid, and they also share the top spot in the Champions League group stage with PSG and Bayern.

Furthermore, Flick's team has amassed an unprecedented number of goals for the start of a season, scoring a total of 33 goals in seven matches: 28 in the domestic league and five in Europe. The average scoring rate is simply staggering – almost five goals (4.7) per game.

In fact, out of the seven official matches played so far, only in one did the team score just two goals (against Athletic). In the remaining matches, the goal count ranged from four (Levante), five (Elche, Rayo, Valencia, and Feyenoord) to seven (Racing).

Barcelona also stands as the only undefeated team in La Liga after the first six rounds. Deportivo had shared this distinction but suffered their first loss on Wednesday, falling 0-1 at home to Sevilla.

Undoubtedly, Barcelona is currently the most attractive, offensive, and lauded team, generating the most excitement. Raphinha has established himself as an absolute leader in all aspects of play, while Lamine Yamal is the driving force of the attack. Together, they have scored 15 goals since the start of the season.
