Ibadan residents have on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, been thrown into darkness as fire razes the power plant of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) at Ayede, Akinyemi, Ring Road, Ibadan.

The inferno was said to have engulfed some facilities.
While the fire is still raging at the time of filing this report, efforts are being made to contact Oyo Fire Service to put out the fire.
