The 2017 CAF U-17 kicks off on Sunday, May 14 to Friday, May 28 and for the tournament, a Nigerian referee Udoh Aniete has been selected to officiated.

The 29-year-old referee is among 14 referees that were selected.

15 assistant referees have also been selected by CAF.

This will be Udoh Aniete’s second U-17 AFCON, as he officiated at the 2015 CAF U-17 AFCON.

Born 1987, Aniete became a FIFA-badge referee in 2013. He joined the Kwara State Referee Association in 1999 and became grade one referee in 2005.

Udoh Aniete is from Akwa Ibom state and is a B.Sc holder in Geology.
