Since it's inception in 1988, the FRSC has succeeded in making a name for it's self.
There has been a noticeable reduction in the rate of crashes, more.
In fact, a 33% reduction in road crashes was recorded for 2015, along with a partnership with the Nigerian Air Force, more.
Now, the commission, led by Boboye Oyeyemi, is focused on reducing accident-related deaths and injuries by 50% by 2020.

This is being done with the aggressive enforcement of traffic regulations, collaborations with states, the installment of speed limiting devices, daily road safety tips on Facebook, and the recent launch of the Lagos mobile court.
