FC Porto's Samu has departed the team's training camp at St. George's Park in England earlier than planned to travel to the United States. He will attend the 2026 World Cup final between his native Spain and Argentina, scheduled for this Sunday at 8:00 PM.

The young striker, who has earned four caps for the Spanish national team, received an invitation from the Spanish Federation to witness the year's most anticipated match, set to take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

“Duly authorized by the Club, he traveled to the United States to attend the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina at the invitation of the Royal Spanish Football Federation,” the blue and white club confirmed.

The 22-year-old forward has been undergoing individualized training as he continues to recover from a severe knee injury (a right knee sprain with an anterior cruciate ligament tear). This injury has kept him off the pitch since February and prevented his participation in the World Cup with the Spanish squad.
