Former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode is said to have been refused entry into the court.

Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), is set to face trial before Justice Binta Nyako.

Justice Nyako is expected to reach a decision on whether or not witnesses in the case against Kanu will be protected from the public.

​Kanu is facing charges of treason along with IPOB members, Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi.

He was arrested in October 2015 and has been in detention since then.
