It was reported earlier in the week that the second stream of the Batch B orientation program had been suspended in 6 states due to the Ebola outbreak.

However, the management of the NYSC has said that the reports are false and that the orientation of corps members deployed to Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, Jigawa, Yobe and Borno states would still go according to plan.

The clarification was made by the NYSC Director of Press and Public Relations, Mrs. Olubunmi Aderibigbe via a statement.

It read:

The second stream is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 1, 2014.
