The singer has all year been working closely with acts from Ghana, having been pictured with Efya in Los Angeles, USA in the past month. Many had anticipated a collaboration, but no one saw this coming. Wizkid’s new record label will have Ghanaian group R2bees, sultry songstress Efya, and raving Nigerian-born singer Mr Eazi. Omar Sterling (Paedae) will be the new president of the outfit, and they will seek to push through with new music, uniting West Africa in a synergy between two strong entertainment hubs.

The singer has also become the first Nigerian artiste to achieve a Billboard Hot 100 number 1 single, after his ‘One dance’ collaboration with Drake and Kyla hit the top spot via radio plays, streaming and purchases.
