Having gone through a couple of preparatory matches in the UK and USA, the Eagles took a 9 hours flight, and landed in Sao Paulo.

The team was greeted by the Sports Minister Nigeria Tammy Danagogo in company of the NFF chairman Alhaji Aminu Maigari and some other delegates, afterwards the team headed on a 1hour 30 minutes bus ride for their Campinas base camp in the state of Sao Paulo, southeast of Brazil.

Having arrived in Campinas Keshi and his boys moved into the Vitoria Hotel Campinas, the next morning had the usual breakfast, Lunch and then headed for first training in Brazil at a local stadium in Campinas home of the Guarani Futebol Clube.

After training the president of the club Alvaro Negrão de Lima, welcomed the African champions and presented them with gifts.

The team was also received by the mayor of Campinas Jonas Donizette who implored them to defeat Argentina when they meet in their last group game.

The second day started with a seminar from FIFA officials, who inspected the Jerseys and kits to be used for the tournament.

They closed the day with a photo session with the FIFA officials.

So far Nigeria's Super Eagles have been well received and treated in Brazil, even though the communication barrier is a challenge the players and officials are struggling with.
