The regional league has issued an open call for new referees, with applications closing on Monday. However, Sportal has learned that this call also includes current officials, meaning any existing referee who doesn't apply will be excluded from the league.

Tensions between current ABA League referees and the management continue to escalate. Following the official opening of the application process, the officials overseeing games in this competition released an official statement. In it, they claim that management has not engaged in serious negotiations regarding their working conditions, while potential new candidates are being offered improved terms through the open call. Their particular grievance is that the call opens doors for new personnel, yet no concrete negotiations have taken place with the established referees.

They emphasized that the document sent to the organization's headquarters is an invitation for dialogue and compromise, not an ultimatum. They demand an immediate meeting with representatives to find a solution before the new season begins.
