Everton and Liverpool Lineups: Slot Makes Four Changes

Everton hosts Liverpool in the 248th Merseyside derby, the first to be played at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. The Reds hold a five-point advantage over their city rivals, and a victory today would significantly boost their Champions League qualification hopes for next season, extending their lead over Chelsea to seven points. However, Everton is also vying for a European spot, and a win today would see them leapfrog Chelsea and move directly behind Liverpool in the standings.

In the previous Premier League round, Liverpool defeated Fulham before losing to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League quarter-final second leg. Everton, meanwhile, drew 2-2 with Brentford away, with Duesbury-Hall scoring a late equalizer in the 91st minute.

Liverpool beat Everton 2-1 at Anfield in September and will be aiming for three consecutive derby victories today, a feat they haven't achieved since April 2017.

David Moyes fields an unchanged lineup from the Brentford match, with Beto once again leading the attack.

Arne Slot has made four changes to his squad, with Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, Curtis Jones, and Andrew Robertson all starting. Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, and Alexis Mac Allister are on the bench, where Rio Ngumoa also features. Hugo Ekitike is out due to the severe injury he sustained against PSG.
