Estoril Praia held Wolverhampton Wanderers to a goalless draw in a pre-season friendly match held at the Estádio de Ferreiras in Albufeira on Saturday evening.

The encounter against the English side, now managed by César Peixoto (who recently moved from Gil Vicente to Wolves), provided a stern test for Vasco Matos's squad. Estoril responded well to the competitive level set by the British team, who are further along in their pre-season preparations.

Despite the stalemate, the Canarinhos' coach drew positive conclusions from this fixture, which marked the second pre-season outing for the 'Linha' club, following their 3-0 victory over Atlético.
