Argentina's goalkeeper, Emiliano "Dibu" Martínez, expressed immense satisfaction following their 2-1 victory over England in the World Cup semi-final. The eccentric shot-stopper lauded his teammates for their fierce battle against the Three Lions' stars. He added that his team now has just "one small step" left to take to lift the World Cup trophy once again.

"There was a lot of talk about the opponents we faced along the way. It's in moments like these that you realize how truly difficult a World Cup is. The English had world-class players, but we dominated them. We played exactly as you should in a semi-final – with a knife between our teeth. This was a special match for the fans in the stands, but for us, it was simply a semi-final that we had to win," the authoritative goalkeeper shared.

Martínez quickly shifted his focus to the upcoming decisive title match against Spain, where the "Albiceleste" will aim to defend their World Cup title from Qatar.

"Now we just have to enjoy this moment, and then we'll start preparing for the battle. We have only one last small step remaining," Emiliano Martínez concluded.
