Emeka Rollas Defeats Ibinabo Fiberesima To Emerge 7th Actors Guild President!

The election/selection process had generated so much controversy, as there had been earlier reports that Ibinabo Fiberesima had won the elections, after her camp had collated results from all the voting states, but this wasn’t the official result.

Although delayed the results were finally announced, with Emeka Rollas emerging winner, defeating Ibinabo Fiberesima by 81 votes to 76. We gather that this is the official report therefore confirming Emeka Rollas who was the body’s former secretary, as the 7th president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).

We however do not know if Ibinabo Fiberesima will contest this result, as this has been the usual trend of these elections. You will recall that the former president of the AGN, Segun Arinze resigned in April after so many allegations and the position had since been vacant.

We await the unfolding episode as the association of Nigeria’s biggest entertainment industry is set to begin a new dispensation.
