APC Wanted Outbreak To Continue – PDP

The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of being unhappy at the successful containment of Ebola in the country.

This was contained in a statement released by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh yesterday, October 5.

He said:

“We know that the APC prefers that the Ebola scourge continued unabated in Nigeria so as to have what to blame the PDP-led government for.

“Now that it has been contained, the APC is frustrated because the people are happy with President Jonathan and the PDP-led Federal Government for the proactive manner with which the disease was confronted and overcame.

“Apart from concerted collaborations using the Federal Ministry of Health, it is on record that President Jonathan released N200 million each to Lagos and Rivers States to help in fighting the disease,”

Mr. Metuh also added that the outbreak was successfully contained because the PDP-led government swung into action to combat it.

Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fasholahad earlier criticized the PDP for making campaign claims that they had conquered the Ebola outbreak, a claim which the governor said could only be made by the health workers who were at the forefront of the battle.
