Screening To Begin At Heathrow Airport

Passengers arriving at the UK’s Heathrow Airport from West Africa will be screened for Ebola starting from Tuesday, October 14.

Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt reportedly stated that passengers form affected countries will have their temperature taken and will also be required to fill out a risk questionnaire.

He also added that screening would begin at Gatwick and Eurostar terminals next week.

The US has also started screening passengers at its airports with John F. Kennedy in New York leading the way while 4 others are expected to follow.

Fears of an international spread of the disease were sparked when an infected Liberianarrived in the US where he later died on October 8.
