Eagles, Everyone Awaits a Victory in the Arena: Where and When to Watch the Serbia vs. Iceland Match TV Broadcast
Serbia's basketball team has been diligently training for the second phase of the 2027 FIBA World Cup qualifiers, set to be held in Qatar. This Friday, fans will get to see them in action at the Arena against Iceland.
The match tips off at 8 PM local time.
Dušan Alimpijević's squad played two warm-up games ahead of their clashes with Iceland and Italy (the latter scheduled for the last day of August in Pesaro), both against France. The Eagles triumphed in their first encounter with the French in the largest arena in the Balkans, but suffered a buzzer-beater loss in the away game in Orleans.
Ahead of the Iceland match, head coach Alimpijević addressed the media, confirming that Nikola Đurišić would be sidelined due to injury.
Đurišić will not be in the lineup. He has a strain, and due to potential risk, he's out of the team. He's a young man who brought great energy, found his rhythm, and had a fantastic preparation period. People are aware that Iceland has defeated both Italy and Lithuania. They are a high-scoring team. If you let this team get into their rhythm, you could see a repeat of what happened to Italy and Lithuania. Our players are professionals, full of responsibility; we're not thinking about Italy yet. Iceland plays a specific style of basketball that aligns with modern trends, with a lot of open-court play. Our main task will be to stop their offense early... they look for shots, they shoot a lot of threes. If we had to describe them in two characteristics, it would be early offense and three-point shooting. If we can stop that, we shouldn't have difficulties.Dušan Alimpijević

Serbia's Roster for the Match Against Iceland
Head coach Dušan Alimpijević didn't face many dilemmas in finalizing the official roster for the game, though there were some expected adjustments compared to last Sunday's away game against France.
As Alimpijević announced, Nikola Milutinov and Dejan Davidovac are returning to the team, having missed the second game against France. The Olympiacos center sat out that match but was with his teammates in Orleans, while the experienced Crvena Zvezda forward remained in Belgrade to recover from a minor injury.
Serbia will be represented in the Belgrade Arena this Friday by captain Nikola Jokić, along with Nemanja Dangubić, Nikola Jović, Stefan Momirov, Ognjen Dobrić, Arijan Lakić, Marko Gudurić, Nikola Tanasković, Dejan Davidovac, Aleksa Avramović, Nikola Milutinov and Jovan Novak.

Dobrić: It will be a problem if we fall into their rhythm
Ognjen Dobrić also previewed the match against Iceland.
These so-called X-factors are extremely important because their energy can completely change the course of a game. We have many players who can do that. Besides the main players who carry the team, we have guys with seemingly smaller, but actually huge roles. Everyone coming off the bench has a tremendous desire to show what they can do and to shift the rhythm in our favor. The most important thing is to be focused from the first minute and to play tough and physical – exactly how Serbia has played all these years. If we adhere to that, there's no cause for concern.Ognjen Dobrić
