The Turkish national team players are set to receive the houses promised to them before the World Cup in the USA, Mexico, and Canada. This was announced by the president of the local football federation, Ibrahim Hacıosmanoğlu.
"I will definitely give the villas I promised the players – everyone who participated in the World Cup qualifiers will receive a house. All permits have been obtained, and construction will begin. We received $14 million from FIFA. Each of the players has received money; everything is in order," stated the head of Turkish football.
Interestingly, Turkish fans consider Vincenzo Montella's team's performance a failure. Expectations were high for the 'Komşular' (neighbors) to advance past the World Cup group stage, but they were eliminated early after losses to Australia and Paraguay. The houses the 'Little Aeroplane' players will receive are located in a coastal area between Milas and Bodrum.
